When installing Red Hat Linux/AXP on Alpha machines you will have the flexibility to install from NFS, CD-ROM, or a local hard drive. Networking, time, and keyboard configuration are all part of the install.

After installing Red Hat Linux/AXP once, you will never need to reinstall Linux again ! The RPM packaging system is sophisticated enough to allow upgrading to new Red Hat releases without re-installing your system - partitioning, no backing up all of your files, no headaches

• Red Hat Software continues to support the XFree86 X server as being a critically important piece of the freely distributable Linux OS. Among other important features XFree86 gives you the ability to install Red Hat on as many machines as you choose without additional cost of restriction. The included XFree86 servers work on all Alpha platforms except the Jensen.
